Translated as ‘Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy’, Reiki is a natural system of energy healing that is used by placing the hands on or near a recipient. The attuned practitioner links into their source and channels Reiki energy while placing their hands onor over a series of locations on the recipient’s body.
This channeled energy is known in Yogic traditions as Prana, and in Chinese systems as Chi. This energy is the very life force that permeates the entire universe and is known as the blueprint of all conscious awareness beyond the physical.

Translated as ‘ Life Force Skill’, Chi Kung is an art of internal energy cultivation that originated in China over 4000 years ago.
Through concentration of breath and movement, Chi Kung is a practice of self development and healing that cultivates one’s internal energy. It brings balance to mind, body and being by increasing our vital energy levels.
Incorporating the elements of mindfulness in yoga brings us deeper into the present moment during our practice.
Mentally, we can be thinking of correct alignment and anatomy in our postures, which will lead us into body consciousness and present moment awareness. But if this is our only focus, do we sacrifice other aspects which are perhaps of equal or greater importance?
Do we feel the texture and softness of the rubber yoga mat that we are standing on?
Do we feel energetic change as we hold a particular mudra (hand position)?
